Melissa K. Clear

Melissa K. Clear, 43, of Pendleton, passed away May 24, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis after a sudden illness.

She was born June 13, 1968 in Anderson and lived in Anderson most of her life. She graduated in 1986 from Highland High School and received an Associate Degree at Ball State University.

Melissa worked at Pendleton Family Practice Center and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader while living in Greensburg.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Clear of Pendleton, whom she married in 1991; three children, Allison N. Clear, Abigail M. Clear and Andrew M. Clear, all at home; parents, Kathy and Jim Abbott of Anderson and Dudley and Carol McIntosh of Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Sara B. and David Orick of Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Ann Clear of Anderson; several aunts; one uncle; several cousins; and many friends.

Melissa was mother, daughter, beloved wife, and best friend, who cared so much and loved her family and friends every minute of every day. She was the glue that held us together, a part of us all which we cannot replace and without which our lives are diminished.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 31st, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Jay Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Harlan Cemetery in Wilkinson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protection League, P.O. Box 2242, Anderson, IN 46018
