Douglas C. Jackson, 56, of Pendleton, passed away April 24, 2012 at St. John’s Medical Center.

He was born May 13, 1955 in Anderson and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated in 1973 from Anderson High School and was a distinguished member of the swim team. Doug made his living as a skilled carpenter.

He is survived by his father, Larry (wife, Mary Lou) Jackson of Scottsdale, AZ; mother, Sara (husband, Karl) Keller of Anderson; son, Lake Jackson of Pendleton; sister, Cynthia Smith (Douglas Conover) of Fortville; brother, David (wife, Lee Ann) Jackson of Scottsdale, AZ; and nieces and nephews, Zak, Zoë and Zane Smith and Audrey, Dillon, Sarah and Garrett Jackson.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
